When my mum said she feels like the child

My mum told me something the other day when she came to mine that proper warmed my heart. She said she doesn't feel like a parent anymore. She feels like she's the child & me & my siblings are the parents. Been smiling bare ever since.

But there's the thing. The sad thing is she left Ghana when she was 14 & came here. Been working ever since. Then she had me at 20. That's your whole social life gone. & In sacrificing your life from then on to look after your children, you kinda put aside your mental development

So in saying that. If you're my age mate hurry & get your shit together & look after your parents if they've sacrificed so much for you. They deserve it. Teach them too! Alot of black parent's have very questionable mindsets based on where they originate from due to "tradition"
