My locs have been speaking to me
I've had locs since 2018 and yesterday a particular thought crossed my mind. My hair has been speaking to me. Like it's literally been communicating with me. And i only started noticing in feb 2022
As is, i randomly get the urge to touch my head/locs at least once a minute. That's alot of times in a day. But yesterday after worrying for over a year at the way my locs was growing i finally did something to them that the anxiety about it finally stopped
The interesting part about this all is that for the most part I've been interpreting my hair speaking to me as anxiety about the way I've grown my locs. Or just anxiety overall.
Do you know what really happens?
If i have an enquiry about how i want my hair to grow...
I'll experience the answer as anxiety.
It's your hair and it's connected to you so any enquiries you have about it, it genuinely has the answer. It'll relay the answer to you in the form of the way you unconsciously touch your hair, twist it, manipulate it, style it etc..
Until you get it fully by putting your hair in the style it's meant to be the right way. The thing is your hair doesn't have a mouth so it speaks to you through signals you experience as (for me anxiety) and physical sensations and idea of what to do to your hair (within reason)
Btw got me this manifested as me interlocking certain locs because they where so thin that they were growing longer but too little hair strands to loc via crotcheting or if retwisted even years later you could untwist it back to the 20-40 hairs making that loc.
Mind you, I've also learned that whatever parting you originally got when you first got locs, your hair will communicate that you need to join some of them because based on its length after years, you'll see how thin it actually is the further it grows from the scalp.
Oh yeah! One more thing your hair will communicate with you sometimes is a very strong urge to literally pull/rip certain hairs off your loc (at the ends never from the root omfg) because those hairs are no longer part of you. Your hair identifies that hair as an intruder to you
Do you know why?? For me it's because those sections of hair were full of soo much lint that it's more not-hair than my hair (if that makes sense). As that lint is so embedded in my locs, it interferes with your hairs spiritual purpose to scan the area & feed the info back to you
Like for me look this is how much I've separated from myself/my aura/my immediate area of consciousness. I'm sure it's about 50cm in length collectively.
But my consciousness no longer identifies these particular bits of hair/locs as itself/itsown based on what makes the lint.

Also when you retwist your locs.
It's not so much about your current hair that's in loc form growing, but the skin AROUND those locs growing new hair. Wait a couple of months to grow an Afro around the new locked hair. Then twist it around those new locs and crotchet it into it

But lastly, despite how thin certain locs have been, I've never lost one (from the root) & even even when the locs where paperrr thin i grew the surrounding hair then restored the thickness of the loc with THIS! @Shelixir_
